Large Vintage Shanxi Lug Pot
Couldn't load pickup availability
A hand thrown provincial storage pot from Shanxi, dating to the early–mid 20th century. Originally used for storing grains, water or fermented rice wine, it is distinguished by its four raised lug handles and wide, generous rim.
The pot is unglazed and fired in a traditional wood kiln, giving it its deep charcoal tone with soft smoke halos and subtle clay marbling throughout. Will work beautifully as a standalone piece or repurposed as a planter.
You will receive the pot pictured.
