A substantial one of a kind antique martaban jar, complete with original hand carved body with four foliate panels representing landscapes.
During the Ming dynasty, there large vessels were originally used as storage jars for provisions such as oil, wine, fruits, and pickles. They were also often used as shipping containers for other delicate ceramics.
A rare and unique statement piece with a story to tell. Could be displayed as a floor standing pot, or on a large tabletop.
Please expect imperfections, colour variations and wear aligned with pots that are over a century old.

Care Instructions
Vintage and antique items are delicate and require special care. If necessary, wipe gently with a damp cloth and avoid use of any chemicals. We recommend dried or faux foliage, however if you do decide to pair with fresh flowers, we recommend inserting a pot liner. Ideal for indoor use, however if you do decide to display outside, we would advise drilling a draining hole and be sure to protect from frost
