19th Century Wine Jar ~ no.4

Our pinch neck antique wine jars originate from the Shandong province and were once likely used used to store water, vinegar, or fermented rice wine

This old wine jar has a very interesting and rare makers mark which would have likely been a winemakers retail stamp

Each jar was handmade circa 100 years ago using regional clay. Left unglazed, the jars have the most incredible patina and each has it's own unique organic smoke patterns which would have been created during the firing process

Today these jars make beautiful decorative vessels - pair with herbs or foliage to bring an organic, earthy element to your space

Dimensions: height 21cm, dia 14cm, pot opening 6cm

Expect to find markings of years of loyal use; including bumps, chips and blemishes
